Discovery: Nearly two years after the disappearance of hiker James Nelson, 31, human remains have been discovered near a campsite believed to have been used by him in Colorado

Evidence: This camp site discovered Friday led authorities to the human remains along with some of Mr Nelson's belongings, though missing his camera and GPS unit
The remains were turned over to the coroner for identification, and there was no immediate word on a cause of death.
The Sheriff's office says a notebook located at the campsite indicated that Nelson may have been suffering from altitude sickness.

He was not carrying a cell phone with him when he set out to reach the summit, according to his proposed route.
Authorities say he never signed the summit's register.
