WWE signs a lot of young athletes every year. The aspiring wrestlers train at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Those trainees hone their craft at live shows and Level Up as well. One such superstar-in-training is about to make her NXT 2.0.
WWE aired a video hyping up the arrival of Sol Ruca during NXT 2.0 tonight. According to the video package, Sol Ruca (real name Calyx Hampton) is coming soon to the company’s developmental brand.
Hampton reported to the WWE PC in March 2022, and was assigned the ring name “Sol Ruca” in May. The former college athlete made her in-ring debut during a live show in June. WWE had this to say about her when they signed her.
Calyx Hampton is a 22-year-old former athlete from the University of Oregon having competed on the school’s Acrobatics & Tumbling team, earning NCATA Individual Event National Championship honors.
Sol Ruca has already competed in NXT Level Up. She will join the likes of Tiffany Stratton, Roxanne Perez and Nikkita Lyons on NXT 2.0. We’ll have to wait until Sol Ruca makes her NXT 2.0 debut to see how she fares on the yellow brand.
